The Silva Ranger Compass is a traditional baseplate compass often used by hikers, mountaineers, backpackers and hunters. It has all the features you need for your adventure.
If you are looking for a basic yet functional compass for your outdoor adventure, the Ranger should be your choice. The Ranger has a rubber grip for easy handling and comes with a use-anywhere declination scale inside the capsule, a magnifying glass, a base plate for map measurement in mm and scales of 1:25k, 1:50k and a removable safety release lanyard. The base plate is curved upwards at the back for a perfect fit in the hand. The red/black north-south lines on the bottom of the capsule ensure easy and safe setting. The clear arrow and scales/markings in a clear, contemporary font combined with plenty of transparency in the base plate make navigation easier - when activated in light, the luminous markings enable navigation in the dark. The needle is made of the finest Swedish steel with high-quality magnetic properties.
