Batteries & chargers
An AEG is only as good as the battery that powers it. The battery determines how fast the gearbox cycles, how crisp the trigger response feels and how many shots you get from a charge. In this category you will find airsoft batteries in LiPo and NiMH, chargers for both types and accessories such as LiPo safety bags, LiPo alarms and connector adapters. We also stock standard batteries such as CR123A, CR2032, 18650, AAA and D for torches, sights and electronics.
By far most of the airsoft batteries in the range are from our own brand Hank Tactical: LiPo in 7.4 V and 11.1 V from 300 mAh to 3,300 mAh in stick, crane stock, AK, PEQ box and electric pistol form factors, plus NiMH in 8.4 V and 9.6 V. Hank Tactical also supplies the chargers – from a simple LiPo charger and the A3 20W NiMH charger to the TE3AC multi-charger and the IMAX B6 AC. Swiss Arms has a 7.4 V 1,300 mAh LiPo, and ASG a 7.2 V battery for electric pistols. For torches and electronics you will find Fenix, PK Cell, Pale Blue, PowerTac and GP Batteries.
What to look for
- LiPo or NiMH: LiPo delivers more power in a smaller package and gives faster trigger response, but must be charged with a balance charger and stored correctly. NiMH is more tolerant of mishandling and suits older or simpler AEGs. Check that your gun is LiPo-ready before you switch.
- Voltage: 7.4 V LiPo is the standard choice for most AEGs. 11.1 V gives a higher rate of fire and sharper response, but puts more strain on the motor, gearbox and electronics – only choose it if your gun is built or upgraded for it.
- Form factor: The battery must physically fit your gun. Stick batteries go in buffer tubes and handguards, crane batteries in crane stocks, and there are dedicated formats for AKs, PEQ boxes and electric pistols. Measure the space before you choose the capacity.
- Connector – Deans or Tamiya: Battery and gun must have the same connector. Many of our batteries come with a Deans connector, and an AK battery is available with both Tamiya and Deans. If your gun has a mini Tamiya, an adapter from female mini Tamiya to male Deans can bridge the gap.
- Charger and storage: A LiPo should be charged with a balance charger such as the IMAX B6 AC or TE3AC and stored in a LiPo safety bag. A LiPo alarm shows the cell voltage, so you avoid discharging the battery too deeply.
Who it's for
This category is for anyone with an AEG who wants a spare battery on the field or to switch from NiMH to LiPo, and for those who need a charger or connector adapter. The standard batteries suit anyone with torches, red dot sights or other electronics in their loadout.
