Children's Hunting Clothing

Children who come along on a hunt get cold faster than adults – they stand still longer than they are used to and quickly get wet in grass and scrub. What to look for

Waterproof outer layer

Visibility on driven hunts

The Youth ROGALAND softshell jacket in Safety Orange is CE-marked and certified to EN 17353 – the European standard for enhanced-visibility equipment. Always follow the hunt leader's instructions on clothing.

Details that make a difference

Small hands struggle with fiddly fastenings when fingers are cold. Look for details that make the clothing easy to use: the Youth EAGLE winter jacket has an adjustable drawcord waist, shaped elbows and elasticated cuffs that keep the cold out. The ROGALAND softshell jacket can be tightened at the wrists with Velcro, and the CUMBRIA fleece has zipped pockets, so small things do not get lost in the woods.

Do not forget head, hands and feet

Children quickly lose heat through their head, hands and feet. A warm beanie, a pair of gloves and wool socks often do more for their mood than an extra jumper. Choose socks that wick moisture away, so feet do not get cold when the child stands still.
