Home preparedness and prepping – are you ready for the unexpected?
The world is changing, and the need for solid home preparedness is greater than ever. Authorities now recommend that every household should be able to manage for at least three days in a crisis or unforeseen event. We help you build a well-thought-out emergency setup (prepping), so the most basic needs are covered: water, heat, food and communication.
The 4 pillars of good home preparedness
Prepping is not about fearing the future, but about being practically prepared. We have divided our range so you can easily cover the most important areas:
1. Water supply and purification Water is the most important element for survival. We stock everything from robust water containers to advanced water purification. With a water filter or purification tablets you can make water from alternative sources safe to drink.
2. Communication and information (emergency radios) If the power and the internet go down, an emergency radio (often an FM radio with hand crank or solar panels) is your only source of important information from the authorities. Many of our models also work as a power bank for your phone and have a built-in torch.
3. Heat and light Without power, a home quickly gets cold. We offer solutions for alternative heating, emergency blankets (space blankets) that retain body heat, and a wide range of gas stoves for cooking. Remember reliable light sources too, such as head torches and torches with long battery life.
4. Long-life food and first aid We stock freeze-dried food with a very long shelf life that is easy to store and quick to prepare. Combine it with a professional first aid kit, so you can treat minor injuries and wounds at home if medical help is far away.
Practical kit for "bug-out" and "stay-at-home"
Whether your strategy is to stay at home or to have a packed "bug-out bag" ready for evacuation, you will find the kit here. From multi-tools and robust knives to power stations that can keep your most important devices running. We have focused on kit that is well tested and reliable under pressure.
