Game Handling & Game Bags

Once the shot has been taken, the work begins. Good game-handling equipment makes it easier and more hygienic to gut, hang, skin and transport the game. Here you will find gambrels, game bags and knives for butchering.

What to look for

Gambrel

A gambrel holds the game while you skin and butcher it, so you can work at a comfortable height. Choose a gambrel that suits the size of the game – Stabilotherm, for example, has a gambrel for deer and wild boar.

Game bag

A game bag makes it easy to carry small game and birds home from the hunt. Look for a material that is easy to clean and a closure that keeps the contents in place. Deerhunter has a waterproof game bag in Art Green.

Butchering knives

For butchering and boning, a knife with a narrow, flexible blade is easiest. Benchmade's Meatcrafter is developed for exactly that. See all hunting knives.

Hygiene

Work quickly, keep the meat cool and clean knives and equipment thoroughly after use. Stainless steel and smooth surfaces are easiest to keep clean.

Transport

For larger game, a drag harness or a game cart can save your back. Ask us if you are looking for something specific.

Who it suits

The equipment suits hunters who handle their own game – from roe deer and birds to deer and wild boar. It is also good for hunting syndicates sharing equipment for driven hunts.
