Hoses & Fittings

The hose and fittings are the link between air tank, regulator and gun, and this is typically where an HPA setup leaks if something has been chosen wrongly. Here you will find HPA hoses in several lengths and versions, quick disconnects (QD) with male and female threads, angled fittings, macroline in various diameters, and the small parts such as O-rings and pressure gauges that keep the system sealed and readable.

Hank Tactical covers the basics: a male QD fitting, quick disconnects with 1/8 NPT thread, 90-degree fittings, Grip Connect, a coiled hose and 40" (1016 mm) hoses – both standard HPA hose and the thinner SLP hose. Mancraft has the Micro HPA Line, 42" (approx. 1067 mm) speedsoft hoses and HP pistol lanyards for gas pistols from TM, WE and KJW. BalystiK supplies US HPA hose, a high-flow coupling for 8 mm macroline and an HPA fitting for TM GBB magazines, and Polarstar has its own QD fitting. From Storm Air come a US quick connect with M10 female thread and O-rings for quick disconnects. You will also find macroline in 4, 6 and 8 mm, a 5000 psi pressure gauge and a Walther QuickFill hose for filling PCP guns.

What to look for

  • Thread: 1/8 NPT is the most common thread on regulators and fittings, but Storm Air's quick connect, for example, has an M10 thread. Check both the type and whether the part has a male or female thread – the two are easily mixed up.
  • Coupling standard: Quick disconnects come in several standards. Stick to the same standard (for example US) throughout the system, so hose, regulator and gun fit together without adapters.
  • Macroline diameter: Must match the push fitting or coupling it goes into – 4, 6 and 8 mm are not interchangeable without an adapter.
  • Hose type and length: A thin SLP or micro hose is lighter and less in the way, while a coiled hose gives more freedom of movement. Measure the distance from the tank to the gun before choosing a length.
  • O-rings: A worn O-ring in a QD is the most common cause of leaks. Always keep a few spares in your bag.
