What to look for
Fit: Thermal underwear must sit close to the body to wick moisture away from the skin and retain heat.
Activity level: If you move a lot, a thin layer is often enough. If you stand still on watch, you need more insulation on top.
Size: Check the sizes on the product – some items are only available in a few sizes.
