Storm Air Pellets

When you choose Storm Air, you choose ammunition made by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. As our own brand, Storm Air is the result of many years of experience and countless tests on the range. We set out to create a series of pellets that could match the expensive brands on accuracy and consistency, but at a price everyone can afford – whether you train seriously or shoot for fun in the garden.

Storm Air pellets are designed to deliver a stable trajectory and maximum energy transfer, which makes them the ideal choice for both air rifles and air pistols.

Tested in the most popular rifles

What makes Storm Air special? We continuously test our pellets in the most popular rifles from brands such as Gamo, Hatsan and Umarex. That gives you:

  • High consistency: Every pellet in the tin is made to tight tolerances, so you avoid "fliers" and odd groups.

  • Clean ammunition: We set high standards for production to make sure the pellets are clean and free of lead dust, which is kinder to your barrel.

  • Wide range: Whether you want classic wadcutter pellets for target shooting, pointed pellets for maximum penetration or heavy domed pellets for long range, you will find them in the Storm Air series.

Find the right pellet for your shooting

For the best result, it is important to match the pellet to your kit and your target:

  1. Target shooting: Use our wadcutter pellets with professional targets and pellet traps for crisp holes that are easy to score.

  2. Long range: For powerful PCP air rifles we recommend our heavier Storm Air variants, which stay stable even in wind.

  3. Safety: Always remember to wear shooting glasses when you train – even when you shoot the most accurate pellets.

Maintenance and kit

Accurate pellets cannot do it alone. To maintain accuracy, your gun needs care:

  • Barrel care: Even though Storm Air pellets are clean, you should regularly use cleaning kits and gun care from Stil Crin to remove lead residue.

  • Storage: Keep your pellets dry and protected. Find practical backpacks and bags to keep your kit organised when you head to the range.

  • Clothing: Complete your shooting kit with tactical clothing made for active use outdoors.

Whether you are after affordable training pellets or top precision for competition, Storm Air is a safe choice. We are always ready in our shop in Aulum, Denmark to advise you on which Storm Air variant suits your setup best.

Quick guide Which pellets should you choose?

Three things decide it: calibre, head shape and weight. Here is the short version.

1CalibrePellets must match your air gun. The calibre is marked on the barrel or in the manual.
2Head shapeThe shape decides what the pellet does best.
WadcutterTarget shooting at 10 m. Clean holes in the target.
DomedAll-round. Flies best at longer range.
PointedDeeper penetration at short to medium range.
Hollow pointHollow tip that expands on impact.
SlugsOnly for high-power PCPs. H&N recommends at least 25 J.
3WeightLight pellets for low power, heavy pellets for powerful air guns and longer range.
Light4.5 mm: 0.51 g · 5.5 mm: 0.93 gTarget shooting and low-power air guns
Medium4.5 mm: 0.55–0.67 g · 5.5 mm: 1.03–1.17 gAll-round for most air rifles
Heavy4.5 mm: 0.87 g and up · 5.5 mm: 1.64 g and upHigh-power PCP air rifles and longer range

The weights are examples from the JSB Exact range.

Test a few tins. Every barrel has its favourite pellets. Buy 2–3 different ones, or a sample pack, and shoot them at the same distance. The number after the calibre (e.g. 4.50, 4.51 or 4.52) is the head diameter, and a single hundredth of a millimetre can make a difference.
