Air rifle mounts

Mounts and scope rings – the vital link to your optics

Once you have invested in a good air rifle and a sharp riflescope, it is crucial that the link between the two is top quality. A mount (or scope rings) has the job of holding your optics rock-solid, even under heavy recoil. If the mount doesn't fit your rifle exactly, you will never get the full accuracy your equipment is otherwise capable of.

We carry a wide range of mounts for all types of air guns, whether you shoot a classic break-barrel or a modern PCP platform.

11 mm vs. 22 mm: what does your rifle have?

The first thing to check before choosing scope rings is the width of your rifle's mounting rail:

  • 11 mm (dovetail): This is the standard on the vast majority of air rifles from brands such as Gamo, Diana and Artemis. It is a narrow rail machined directly into the rifle's cylinder.

  • 22 mm (Weaver / Picatinny): This wider rail is often found on tactical models and many PCP air rifles. It is known for its slotted design, which locks the mount in place so it cannot move forwards or backwards.

Choose the right height and tube diameter

Besides the rail width, you need to watch two other important factors:

  1. Tube diameter: Most riflescopes have either a 25.4 mm (1 inch) or a 30 mm tube. Your scope rings must match this exactly.

  2. Height (low, medium, high): The mount must be high enough for the scope's large objective (front end) to clear the barrel, but low enough for you to keep a good cheek weld on the stock.

Special mounts for air rifles

Air rifles with a powerful spring have a distinctive "double recoil" that can be hard on optics. That is why we also offer:

  • One-piece mounts: A long base that connects both rings. This gives a much larger contact area on the rifle and ensures the scope doesn't creep under firing.

  • Stop pins: Many of our 11 mm mounts have a small stop screw that locks into the rifle to counter the effect of recoil.
