Our gelballs are always produced in good quality and are of course biodegradable no matter what. Our gelballs are made of 5% starch and 95% water. They actually start their decomposition/evaporation after 7-10 hours and disappear quickly again.
Our gel balls come in small bags of 10,000 or in tubs of 50,000. The water beads/gel balls don't take up much space in the bag as they are completely drained of water. To use them, fill them in a container with water and leave them until they are 6-8 mm in diameter - then they are ready to use.
When you shoot our gel balls, they burst on impact and evaporate quickly after impact (a few hours). If they hit something softer, they may be intact, but it is best not to reuse them as they may have picked up dirt that your gel blaster cannot handle in the long term.
What types of gel balls do you have?
We carry a few different gel balls in our range of gel blasters and accessories.
Regular gelballs: Our regular gelballs can have different colors or come in a nice bucket/bag with different colors (these are the most used)
Frosted gelballs: Our frosted gelballs are produced to be a little harder and more durable, which means they shoot a little harder on impact than our regular gelballs! Note they don't fly further, they just hit harder
UV Gelballs: Our UV gelballs are fluorescent and therefore self-luminous after they have been exposed to light. This means that they light up when you shoot them in special gel blasters that have a built-in UV/tracer, which is how the balls get this light.
How do you use gel balls?
Our gelballs come in small bags with 10,000 pieces. When you get them you think they are just really small. But the whole trick is that they have to be placed in a container of water, so that over a few hours they can grow and become between 6-8 mm in diameter, then you know they are ready! After use it takes 7-10 hours before they start to dissolve, so it is also important that if your gelballs are not in water, they must be used or filled in a container of water, otherwise they will evaporate and therefore cannot be used. If you store them in water, they can last up to 4 days.
We've found a cool little tip that we'd like to pass on to you as our customer! We've found a shortcut to get your gelballs ready for war as quickly as possible.
If you want your gelballs ready in 1-2 hours , you should fill them with water that is approximately 50+ degrees, as this speeds up the pace. It usually takes 6-8 hours in cold water before they are ready to use (We usually advise leaving them overnight to be sure they are at their best).
We have found that they work best when they are positioned correctly and that you don't get overconfident and use them faster - Gelblasters shoot best when the bullet is the right size.
