Receiver Parts & Accessories

Receiver parts and accessories covers the external parts mounted on the receiver itself: magazine releases (mag catch and mag release), bolt catches, fire selectors, trigger guards, forward assists, dust cover parts and magwells. These are parts that wear or break over time, and parts you swap for better handling or a more personal look. The vast majority fit the M4 platform, but there are also parts for the MP5/G3, the Scorpion EVO 3 A1 and an M40A3 receiver.

Maxx Models makes M4 mag catches in Type A and Type B, built for both right- and left-handed operation and available in blue, red and DE. Retro Arms makes CNC-machined M4 parts in aluminium: fire selector Type C, selector cover, magazine catch and bolt forward assist. The Krytac Ambi Selector comes complete with both right and left switches. Mancraft and GATE offer CNC-machined bolt catches and mag releases, while Delta Armory supplies basic parts such as a metal mag release, pins and a dust cover lock. ASG has ATEK magwells for the EVO, and G&G Armament a selector set for its own M4s. You will also find trigger guards from D-Boys, Element and G&P, M4 skins from Lancer Tactical and a charging handle lock for the Scorpion EVO from Airtech Studios.

What to look for

  • Platform and manufacturer: Not every M4 is the same. Maxx's mag catches are described as compatible with most M4 AEGs, while the selector set is made specifically for G&G's M4s, and the ATEK magwells are for the ASG EVO. Always check which brand and model your replica is built on.
  • Ambidextrous controls: If you are left-handed or switch shoulders behind cover, an Ambidextrous selector like Krytac's and a mag catch you can operate from both sides make handling faster without letting go of the grip.
  • Material: Choose between CNC-machined aluminium from Retro Arms, Mancraft, GATE and Krytac and simpler parts such as Delta Armory's metal mag release or pins in zinc and aluminium – depending on whether the part is replacing a worn original or is meant as a visible upgrade.
  • Trigger guard: An enlarged guard like Element's Enhanced for the M4/M15/M16 or the D-Boys V-model gives your finger more room, which matters if you shoot wearing gloves.
  • Magwell and magazine type: ASG's ATEK magwell for the EVO comes in a hi-cap and a mid-cap version, so choose according to the magazines you use.

Who it is for

This category is for you if you have an M4 AEG that needs a broken part replaced, more Ambidextrous controls, or coloured details and skins to make the replica your own. Owners of the ASG EVO, MP5 and G3 will also find a few platform-specific parts here.
