JSB Pellets

JSB pellets – the gold standard for accuracy and quality

Ask a competition shooter which pellet gives the best groups, and in most cases the answer will be JSB. The Czech company JSB Match Diabolo was founded in 1991 by Josef Schulz and has specialised in quality ammunition ever since. The secret behind their success is very strict quality control, where every pellet is hand-sorted to make sure there are no deformities or defects.

We stock a complete range of JSB, because we know that serious shooters with, for example, high-end PCP air rifles demand the very best to achieve "one-hole" accuracy.

A pellet for every setup and calibre

JSB is known for offering its pellets in small head-size variations (e.g. 4.50 mm, 4.51 mm and 4.52 mm), so you can find the perfect match for your barrel:

  • JSB Exact: A popular all-round pellet. Its domed head gives the most stable trajectory at long range.

  • JSB Hades: A special pellet for pest control and hunting practice. The special head gives maximum expansion and energy transfer on impact.

  • JSB Straton: The pointed version for those who want maximum penetration on hard targets.

Get the most out of your JSB ammunition

When you invest in quality pellets from JSB, your shooting deserves the right equipment around it:

  1. Test your accuracy: Use our targets to find out whether your rifle shoots best with JSB Exact or Exact Heavy. Small differences in weight can make a big difference.

  2. Safety: Even when the focus is on accuracy, safety has to be in order. Always remember your shooting glasses.

  3. Stable shooting: To rule out human error when testing pellets, it pays to use a bipod or shooting stick.

Maintenance and gear

JSB pellets are made of high-quality soft lead to protect your rifling, but they still require maintenance:

  • Barrel care: Keep your precision barrel free of lead deposits with cleaning kits and gun oil from Stil Crin.

  • Storage: JSB tins are soft, so protect your pellets from deformation in transport in one of our bags or backpacks.

  • Alternative: Want top quality at an even sharper price? Then try our own brand, Storm Air pellets.

Whether you shoot at elite level or simply want the best for your hobby, we are ready in Aulum, Denmark to advise you on the right choice of JSB pellets.

Quick guide Which pellets should you choose?

Three things decide it: calibre, head shape and weight. Here is the short version.

1CalibrePellets must match your air gun. The calibre is marked on the barrel or in the manual.
2Head shapeThe shape decides what the pellet does best.
WadcutterTarget shooting at 10 m. Clean holes in the target.
DomedAll-round. Flies best at longer range.
PointedDeeper penetration at short to medium range.
Hollow pointHollow tip that expands on impact.
SlugsOnly for high-power PCPs. H&N recommends at least 25 J.
3WeightLight pellets for low power, heavy pellets for powerful air guns and longer range.
Light4.5 mm: 0.51 g · 5.5 mm: 0.93 gTarget shooting and low-power air guns
Medium4.5 mm: 0.55–0.67 g · 5.5 mm: 1.03–1.17 gAll-round for most air rifles
Heavy4.5 mm: 0.87 g and up · 5.5 mm: 1.64 g and upHigh-power PCP air rifles and longer range

The weights are examples from the JSB Exact range.

Test a few tins. Every barrel has its favourite pellets. Buy 2–3 different ones, or a sample pack, and shoot them at the same distance. The number after the calibre (e.g. 4.50, 4.51 or 4.52) is the head diameter, and a single hundredth of a millimetre can make a difference.
