Gamo Pellets

Gamo pellets – popular ammunition for air guns

When you choose Gamo pellets, you choose ammunition from an experienced manufacturer. Gamo actually started as a pellet factory in Spain before it began producing its famous Gamo air rifles, and that expertise shows in every tin. Gamo is known for pushing the limits of ammunition technology and offers a range that covers everything from classic target shooting to high-velocity plinking.

We stock a complete range of Gamo, because they deliver reliable solutions for both beginners and shooters who want to experiment with different pellet types.

Innovation in every shape

Gamo excels at designing pellets for specific purposes. Their range includes technologies you will not find elsewhere:

  • PBA (Performance Ballistic Alloy): Gamo's well-known lead-free pellets, which can increase muzzle velocity by up to 25%. Ideal if you want maximum speed and a more environmentally friendly option.

  • Pro-Magnum & TS series: Heavy pellets with excellent aerodynamics, made to retain energy and accuracy at longer distances.

  • Red Fire & Rocket: Specialist pellets with integrated tips of polymer or hardened steel, for maximum expansion and penetration on impact.

Get the best from your Gamo pellets

Whether you shoot an air pistol or a powerful rifle, the right pellets give the best results:

  1. Training: Use Gamo's classic wadcutter pellets on your targets and pellet traps. They cut clean holes, so you can easily count your score.

  2. Safety: High-velocity pellets such as PBA need extra attention to the backstop. Always wear shooting glasses during training.

  3. Kit: Need to carry a lot of pellets on the move? Find a practical bag in our range of backpacks and bags, so your ammunition is always close at hand.

Maintenance and accuracy

For your Gamo pellets to hit the mark every time, your barrel needs to be in top condition:

  • Cleaning: Regularly use cleaning kits and gun care from Stil Crin to remove residue from lead or alloy materials.

  • Support: Want to test your pellets' accuracy to the limit? Find a bipod or shooting stick to eliminate human error.

Quick guide Which pellets should you choose?

Three things decide it: calibre, head shape and weight. Here is the short version.

1CalibrePellets must match your air gun. The calibre is marked on the barrel or in the manual.
2Head shapeThe shape decides what the pellet does best.
WadcutterTarget shooting at 10 m. Clean holes in the target.
DomedAll-round. Flies best at longer range.
PointedDeeper penetration at short to medium range.
Hollow pointHollow tip that expands on impact.
SlugsOnly for high-power PCPs. H&N recommends at least 25 J.
3WeightLight pellets for low power, heavy pellets for powerful air guns and longer range.
Light4.5 mm: 0.51 g · 5.5 mm: 0.93 gTarget shooting and low-power air guns
Medium4.5 mm: 0.55–0.67 g · 5.5 mm: 1.03–1.17 gAll-round for most air rifles
Heavy4.5 mm: 0.87 g and up · 5.5 mm: 1.64 g and upHigh-power PCP air rifles and longer range

The weights are examples from the JSB Exact range.

Test a few tins. Every barrel has its favourite pellets. Buy 2–3 different ones, or a sample pack, and shoot them at the same distance. The number after the calibre (e.g. 4.50, 4.51 or 4.52) is the head diameter, and a single hundredth of a millimetre can make a difference.
