Stoeger Pellets

Stoeger pellets – German-made precision for every discipline

Choose Stoeger pellets and you get the best of two worlds: Italian design philosophy and German manufacturing expertise. Stoeger pellets are made by Germany's Haendler & Natermann (H&N), which is your assurance of ammunition with very tight tolerances and high consistency. Whether you shoot a Stoeger air rifle or another quality air gun, you will notice the difference in accuracy and ballistic stability.

We stock a complete range of Stoeger pellets because they deliver professional quality at a price everyone can afford.

Find the right Stoeger pellet for your needs

Stoeger has developed a clear-cut range of pellets, each optimised for a specific job:

  • X-Match: The pellet for target shooting. The flat profile (wadcutter) cuts clean holes in card, which makes scoring easy and accurate.

  • X-Power: A heavier, copper-coated pellet made for maximum penetration and reduced lead fouling in the barrel. Ideal for long range and powerful PCP air rifles.

  • X-Hollow: Designed with a hollow point for maximum expansion on impact. A good fit if you want high energy transfer on the target range.

Get your set-up right

To get the full potential out of Stoeger pellets, we recommend paying attention to the details:

  1. Target shooting: Test your skills on our targets and pellet traps. With X-Match pellets you get the most precise feedback on your trigger release.

  2. Protection: Powerful pellets such as X-Power demand respect. Always wear shooting glasses to protect against ricochets.

  3. Transport: Keep your ammunition dry and protected in a practical rifle bag on the way to the range.

Maintenance and equipment

To keep accuracy shot after shot, it is important to look after your barrel:

  • Barrel care: Use a cleaning kit and gun oil from Stil Crin regularly to keep the rifling clean and free of residue.

  • Stability: When testing new pellet types, we recommend a shooting stick or bipod for the most reliable result.

  • Also try: If you want top quality at an even keener price, take a look at our own brand, Storm Air pellets.

Quick guide Which pellets should you choose?

Three things decide it: calibre, head shape and weight. Here is the short version.

1CalibrePellets must match your air gun. The calibre is marked on the barrel or in the manual.
2Head shapeThe shape decides what the pellet does best.
WadcutterTarget shooting at 10 m. Clean holes in the target.
DomedAll-round. Flies best at longer range.
PointedDeeper penetration at short to medium range.
Hollow pointHollow tip that expands on impact.
SlugsOnly for high-power PCPs. H&N recommends at least 25 J.
3WeightLight pellets for low power, heavy pellets for powerful air guns and longer range.
Light4.5 mm: 0.51 g · 5.5 mm: 0.93 gTarget shooting and low-power air guns
Medium4.5 mm: 0.55–0.67 g · 5.5 mm: 1.03–1.17 gAll-round for most air rifles
Heavy4.5 mm: 0.87 g and up · 5.5 mm: 1.64 g and upHigh-power PCP air rifles and longer range

The weights are examples from the JSB Exact range.

Test a few tins. Every barrel has its favourite pellets. Buy 2–3 different ones, or a sample pack, and shoot them at the same distance. The number after the calibre (e.g. 4.50, 4.51 or 4.52) is the head diameter, and a single hundredth of a millimetre can make a difference.
