Japanese Silky has their Kantanaboy 500-5 folding saw which is truly the saw for any sawing job! You are definitely ready for anything at longer distances as the Kantanaboy comes with a long, slightly curved blade so you can cut at a slightly longer distance and easily above shoulder height.
Kantanaboy 500 is a compact saw, even though it comes with a blade length of 500 mm. This is because it can be folded up and can therefore lie and stick out of your bag when you are on a trip.
Silky saws are made of Japanese steel and are probably some of the best saws on the market. Their folding saws are quite popular with outdoor enthusiasts!
It comes with GOM handles which are quite comfortable to hold and the grip reduces vibrations. The saw is very lightweight and has a really good balance, so you can really get sawing done even though the saw is small. The Gomboy saw is a folding saw which has 2 settings depending on what angle you want to saw at.
Kantanaboy is a saw with coarse teeth, as it has 5 teeth of 30 mm.
If you have not used a Silky Saw before, you should be aware that they have extremely sharp teeth to be able to drive through the wood without any problems.
