About Vorsk VMP-2S, Black

The Vorsk VMP-2S is a compact gas blowback (GBB) airsoft SMG, presented at IWA 2025 as the short version of Vorsk's modular VMP-2 platform. With a folding stock and short front end, it is made for CQB and fast play where a long rifle gets in the way. Unfolded it measures 720 mm, and it weighs 2650 g.

GBB gives noticeable recoil and a bolt that cycles with every shot – exactly the experience many players move over from AEGs for. The VMP-2S shoots around 100 m/s (just under 1 J) in both semi and full auto from a 48-round gas magazine. The short bolt travel makes the mechanism efficient, and the inner barrel and hop-up bucking follow the VSR/GBB standard, so you can upgrade with common spare parts instead of being locked to one brand. The upper is machined from aluminium, while the lower and front end are reinforced polymer.

Modular GBB SMG for tight fields

Key features:

  • TDC hop-up: The hop-up is adjusted with a wheel on top of the receiver, without tools. The TDC design presses straight down on top of the bucking, which gives a stable hop with less sideways drift than many traditional units. The inner barrel is a 6.03 mm tightbore.
  • Ambidextrous controls: The fire selector and magazine release can be operated from both sides, and the charging handle can be moved to the side you prefer.
  • M-LOK and 20 mm rail: The front end has M-LOK at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock for a light and grip, and a full-length 20 mm Picatinny rail on top leaves room for a red dot or optic alongside the detachable sights.
  • Standardised parts: The pistol grip follows the AR-15 GBB standard, the stock attaches to a 1913/20 mm Picatinny interface so MPX/MCX stocks can also be fitted, and the barrel has a 14 mm CCW thread for a mock suppressor or tracer unit.
  • Folding stock: The stock folds to the side without fiddly buttons and locks in place, making the gun short enough to move through doors and narrow corridors.

Maintenance and safety

  • Use airsoft gas (green gas) and give the magazine seals a little silicone oil at regular intervals to keep them tight.
  • Store magazines with a little gas in them so the seals do not dry out. Gas pressure drops in the cold – keep spare magazines warm in a pocket in winter.
  • Use clean Seamless BBs, for example Hank Tactical BIO 0.28 g, which suits a GBB of around 1 J.
  • Always wear approved eye protection. Our workshop in Aulum, Denmark can help with servicing and tuning, and airsoft replicas can be test-fired in our shop.
