About Sig Sauer ProForce M18, Gas Blowback

The Sig Sauer ProForce M18 is a gas blowback airsoft pistol and Sig Sauer's own airsoft version of the P320 M18 – the compact variant of the pistol the US Army chose as its service pistol. It comes in Coyote Tan with black controls, measures 195 mm and is built as a sidearm for both CQB and woodland games.

Sig Sauer produces its airsoft models itself under the ProForce name, so dimensions and details follow the real pistol. The pistol comes with a 21-round green gas magazine that sits flush with the grip and shoots up to approx. 98 m/s with 0.20 g BBs. It can also use ProForce CO2 magazines, sold separately. At approx. 680 g including magazine, the weight is close to a real P320, which makes it well suited to practising handling, holster draws and magazine changes.

P320 M18 as a gas-powered sidearm

These are the features you notice in use:

  • Full blowback: The slide cycles with every shot and gives noticeable recoil. Besides the realism, it is also a visual sign that the pistol has enough gas.
  • Adjustable hop-up: The hop-up can be adjusted so you can tune the trajectory to the BB weight. The manufacturer states 0.20–0.28 g as optimal.
  • Picatinny rail: The rail under the barrel follows the M1913 standard, so standard pistol lights and lasers mount directly.
  • Metal contrast sights: The sights are metal with contrast dots, which are quicker to pick up than all-black sights – especially in poor light. The rear sight sits on a removable plate, and the slide is optic ready.
  • Gas or CO2 magazine: The included green gas magazine holds 21 rounds and sits flush with the grip, so it does not snag on a holster or vest. The pistol can also use ProForce CO2 magazines.

Maintenance and safety

  • Fill the gas magazine with green gas and give the magazine valve and seals a little silicone oil regularly so they stay airtight.
  • Store the magazine with a little gas in it so the seals do not dry out. Gas pressure drops in the cold, so keep spare magazines warm.
  • Use clean Seamless BBs between 0.20 and 0.28 g, for example Hank Tactical BIO 0.25 g.
  • Always wear approved eye protection. Our workshop in Aulum, Denmark can help with servicing, and airsoft guns can be test-fired in our shop.
