About Army Armament ROG R907
The Army Armament R907 is an AUG bullpup AEG in a modern, railed version, where the classic folding foregrip has been replaced by an aggressively styled metal handguard with 20 mm Picatinny rails. Overall length is 725 mm and the inner barrel is 410 mm, so you get a long barrel in a gun that is shorter than most M4 carbines with the stock extended.
The upper receiver is aluminium with a continuous top rail that extends over the handguard, leaving room for a red dot and magnifier or a riflescope. Stock and grip are one piece of reinforced polymer – the AUG's chassis – with the battery compartment behind the removable rubber butt pad. As on the real AUG, you select fire mode with the trigger: a short pull gives semi-auto, a full pull gives full-auto. Battery and charger are not included.
Modernised AUG with rails and V3 gearbox
What sets the Army Armament R907 apart:
- Reinforced V3 gearbox: 18:1 steel gears, reinforced piston and piston head, 7 mm bearings and a bearing spring guide. These are exactly the parts that take the most load in an AEG gearbox.
- Quick-detach barrel: With the charging handle locked back and the release pressed, the barrel and handguard twist off, making cleaning and servicing quick.
- Rotary hop-up: The hop-up is set with a wheel behind the dust cover. The ejection port cover can be moved, so you can adjust from either side.
- Ambidextrous controls: The safety is a cross-bolt type, the magazine release sits centrally behind the magazine well, and the large trigger guard can be used with gloves.
- Rails and thread: 20 mm Picatinny rails on handguard and chassis, a QD sling mount and a 14 mm CCW thread for a mock suppressor. The magazine is a 330-round hi-cap.
Maintenance and safety
- The battery sits in the stock with a mini Tamiya connector. Use a 7.4 V LiPo battery, charge it with a LiPo charger in a fire-safe bag, and remove it after use.
- Take the barrel off to clean the inner barrel, and set the hop-up for your BB weight – e.g. Hank Tactical BIO 0.28 g.
- Carry the rifle with the safety on and the magazine out. Our workshop in Aulum, Denmark can upgrade and service it.
- Always wear approved eye protection or a mask. Airsoft guns can be test-fired in our shop in Aulum.
