About Hatsan Blitz Mevzi II PCP, Semi/Full Auto, 4.5 mm

The Hatsan Blitz Mevzi II is the Blitz platform built for maximum air capacity: a PCP air rifle with semi and full-automatic fire that, instead of one carbon fibre cylinder, has two 580 cc cylinders mounted under the fore-end – 1160 cc of air in total. In 4.5 mm it delivers 350 m/s, up to 34.7 J and, according to Hatsan, 265 shots at optimum velocity per fill. The rifle is compact, with 905 mm overall length and a 585 mm barrel.

The Mevzi II is the entry model in the Mevzi series and the natural step up from the Blitz BP, which has the same length and barrel but only one cylinder and 140 shots. With two cylinders you get almost twice as many shots between fills, while the weight is kept to approx. 4700 g – only 700 g more than the Blitz BP. If you need even more air, there is the Mevzi III with three cylinders (375 shots) and the Mevzi IV with four cylinders (500 shots), but they also weigh more.

Hatsan Blitz Mevzi II – key features

The Mevzi II combines the Blitz action with two air cylinders:

  • Semi and full auto: The selector switches between single shots and automatic fire. The action cycles on the compressed air itself – no batteries or electronics.
  • 2 × 580 cc carbon fibre cylinders: Two carbon fibre cylinders give a total of 1160 cc of air at 250 bar and 265 shots at optimum velocity according to Hatsan – almost twice as many as the single-cylinder Blitz and Blitz BP models (140 shots for the BP in 4.5 mm).
  • 24-shot magazine – 3 included: The detachable rotary magazine holds 24 pellets in 4.5 mm, and three magazines are included – 72 pellets ready before you need to reload.
  • 905 mm with a 585 mm barrel: Despite the long shrouded and choked barrel, the overall length is only 905 mm – 245 mm shorter than the standard Blitz. That makes the rifle easier to handle on the range and in transport.
  • 11 mm and 22 mm mounts: The receiver is Picatinny-milled and takes both 11 mm and 22 mm mounts. A Picatinny rail under the fore-end gives room for a bipod or grip, and the cheek piece and butt pad are adjustable.

Maintenance and safety

  • Fill pressure: Never fill above 250 bar, and only use dry, filtered air from a high-pressure pump with moisture filter or a scuba/PCP tank. Moisture in the system causes corrosion and leaking seals.
  • Keep an eye on the gauge: Hatsan specifies that there must be at least 100 bar in the system for the semi and full-auto action to work correctly. Refill in good time rather than shooting the system empty.
  • Magazines and barrel: Keep the magazines free of dirt and lead residue, and clean the barrel with a pull-through and felt pellets as needed – especially when you change pellet type.
  • Safe handling: Store the rifle unloaded, with the magazine out and the safety on, in a locked cabinet. Pay extra attention to your backstop when firing full auto, as many pellets leave the barrel in a short time.
