About Storm Air PCP Pump, Black
The Storm Air PCP pump is a hand pump for filling the air cylinder on PCP air rifles and PCP air pistols. The pump stands on a foot plate and you work it with the T-handle while the pressure gauge at the base shows the pressure. The hose ends in a quick connect coupling that goes straight onto the gun's fill probe.
A hand pump is the simplest way to fill a PCP: you need no power, scuba tank or compressor, and the pump can come with you to the range. It fills to 300 bar (4,500 psi), which covers the fill pressure of most modern PCPs, typically between 200 and 300 bar. The trade-off is that filling a large cylinder takes time and effort, so if you own several guns or fill often, a compressor is more practical. The pump weighs 2150 g in total and is made from stainless steel.
Hand pump to 300 bar with pressure gauge
The key features:
- Up to 300 bar: The pump fills to 300 bar. Check your gun's maximum fill pressure in the manual and stop when the gauge reaches it.
- Pressure gauge at the base: You read the pressure directly on the pump while you work, so you do not have to rely on the gun's own gauge alone.
- Quick connect coupling: Fits most PCPs directly; Hatsan and a few other brands need an adapter such as the Storm Air US Quick Connect, female, M10 thread.
- Stainless steel: Handles moisture better than ordinary steel – an advantage, as compressed air forms condensation inside the pump.
- No power needed: The foot plate and T-handle let you pump steadily anywhere, including out on the range.
Maintenance and safety
- Pump with slow, full strokes and take a break if the pump gets warm – heat wears the seals.
- Close the bleed screw before pumping, and release the pressure slowly after filling before you remove the coupling.
- Check the O-rings regularly and lubricate them according to the supplied instructions (in English).
- Never fill beyond the gun's maximum pressure, and never point the coupling at anyone while it is under pressure.
