About FX Carbon Air Cylinder, 580 cc

The FX Carbon 580 cc air cylinder is an extra-large carbon fibre air bottle that increases air capacity on the FX Impact and FX Crown. It is the obvious choice if you fire many shots per fill – for example in field target, practice on the range or a long day of pest control – and want to avoid stopping to refill.

The cylinder has a working pressure of 250 bar, is 310 mm long and weighs 540 g. It can also be used on the FX Dreamline, but this requires the FX Dreamline bottle adapter (item no. 361812987), sold separately. Models other than those mentioned are not listed as compatible.

Why carbon rather than aluminium

The big advantage of a carbon bottle is the ratio of air volume to weight.

  • 580 cc volume: More air means more shots per fill at the same regulator pressure – especially noticeable on rifles shooting heavy projectiles.
  • Carbon fibre construction: At 540 g the bottle weighs significantly less than an equivalent aluminium cylinder, keeping the rifle's overall weight and balance in check.
  • 250 bar working pressure: The high pressure stores more air within the same external dimensions than a bottle with a lower fill pressure.
  • Compatibility: According to the supplier, it fits the FX Impact and FX Crown and – with a separate adapter – the FX Dreamline.
  • 310 mm length: The compact length relative to volume makes it easier to keep the rifle's overall length and balance.

Maintenance and safety

  • Only fill with clean, dry compressed air and never above 250 bar.
  • Check the O-rings and threads before fitting, and follow the air rifle's manual for removing and fitting the cylinder.
  • Avoid knocks, drops and direct heat. A cylinder with visible damage should not be filled until it has been inspected.
  • Store the cylinder dry and at room temperature, and keep the air rifle unloaded and out of reach of children.
