Double Bell Genesis Arms Gen-12 Kestrel ETU AEG Shotgun, Black

The Genesis Arms Gen-12 is a full-auto AEG shotgun from Double Bell, built with original licensed markings from Genesis Arms LLC. The design is inspired by the real thing, but the ergonomics are based on the AR15 platform, so controls, trigger group and safety placement will feel familiar to most airsoft players. The aluminium-based upper gives a solid, realistic look, while the 10" KeyMod handguard with top rail gives plenty of room for sights, light and foregrip – ideal for CQB, where a distinctive replica with a high rate of fire makes a visible difference.

Where most airsoft shotguns are limited to manual pump action or single shots, the Gen-12 stands apart as a true full-auto AEG with a 900-round hi-cap magazine. That solves a practical problem for players who want the shotgun's visual and tactical identity without compromising on rate of fire or magazine capacity – something classic gas shotguns typically cannot match. The combination of advanced ETU control and a robust V2 QSC gearbox means the replica can take intensive use without compromising reliability.

Advanced electronics and precision engineering

The Gen-12 comes with features normally only seen in high-end AEGs – here combined in one shotgun that delivers stable performance shot after shot.

• Kestrel™ ETU processor: Controls 5-stage pre-cocking, active motor braking and motor lock protection. The unit automatically detects battery voltage in the 6–17 V range, giving faster trigger response and considerably longer life of internal components compared with traditional mechanical trigger contacts.
• V2 QSC gearbox with quick spring change: The quick spring change system lets you change the spring without stripping the whole gearbox, saving considerable time on upgrades or servicing compared with a conventional V2 gearbox.
• Rotary hop-up chamber: The internal polymer rotary hop-up works with a 285 mm, 6.02 mm precision barrel, ensuring a stable trajectory and good accuracy – even in full auto, where many competing models lose accuracy.
• Steel gears with 18:1 ratio: The reinforced steel gears combined with 8 mm bearings give smooth, quiet gearbox operation and reduce wear under sustained full-auto fire.
• 900-round hi-cap magazine: The high capacity means far fewer refills during play – a clear advantage in high-intensity scenarios where seconds count.

Maintenance and safety

• The manufacturer recommends an 11.1 V LiPo buffer-stick battery, connected via a Deans (T-plug) connector.
• Never store the replica with the battery connected, and always release the piston from the pre-cocked state before storage to avoid unnecessary strain and damage to the spring.
• Check the gearbox lubrication and hop-up unit regularly to maintain accuracy and rate of fire over time.
• Always wear approved eye protection, and store the replica out of reach of children.
