The barrel is the part of a VSR-10 that has the biggest influence on how consistently the rifle shoots, and it is often where you start when upgrading a sniper rifle. In this category you will find inner barrels, outer barrels, bull barrel fronts, barrel spacers, hop-up chamber stoppers, a suppressor adapter and a repair kit for the hop-up chamber – all for the VSR-10 platform and the many rifles built on it.
Action Army has 6.01 mm inner barrels in 430 and 550 mm, outer barrels, spacer sets for both the standard VSR-10 and the G-Spec, plus hop-up chamber stoppers and a suppressor adapter. PDI covers the heavy end with bull barrel fronts, a bull barrel cap, a barrel spacer and a repair kit for the hop-up chamber.
What to look for
Barrel length: The inner barrel must match the outer barrel and your setup. A long barrel such as 550 mm suits a standard VSR, while the G-Spec and short builds need a shorter barrel.
Bore: 6.01 mm is a tight bore that gives a closer fit with the BB than a standard barrel – but it needs a clean barrel and a correctly set hop-up.
Spacers: Spacers keep the inner barrel centred in the outer barrel. Choose the set according to whether you have a regular VSR-10 or a G-Spec.
Hop-up chamber: Some inner barrels are made for a specific hop-up chamber (e.g. PDI), so check the product name before you combine parts from different manufacturers.
