L96

This category collects spare parts and tuning parts for L96 replicas – spring-powered bolt-action rifles such as the Tokyo Marui L96 and Well MB01, MB04 and MB05. On a spring sniper rifle it is the cylinder, piston, spring and trigger that determine velocity and consistency, and those are exactly the parts that make up most of the range here.

PDI has the most thorough upgrades: a Precision cylinder, Palsonite cylinder sets in VC and HD versions, a trigger with piston end, a spring and an end screw. Action Army has M130 and M150 springs for the Marui L96 and aluminium pistons with a straight or angled rear end. SHS supplies a cylinder and a 150 m/s tuning kit for the L96/MB-01/MB-04/MB-05, Laylax a muzzle tool, and from Well there is a hop-up chamber for the MB01.

What to look for

• Marui or Well: The Well models are built on the Marui principle, but the tolerances are not always the same. Check whether the part is listed for the Marui L96, for the Well MB models or for both.
• Spring: The M number indicates the spring's strength – an M150 is stronger than an M130. Always check with a chronograph after a change, so you stay below the site's limit in m/s.
• Piston rear end: The Action Army pistons come with a straight or angled rear end. The rear end must match the trigger mechanism in your rifle.
• Sets or single parts: PDI's cylinder sets and triggers are designed to work together. If you only upgrade one part, check that it fits the parts already installed.
