Silverback SRS & TAC-41 Parts
Silverback Airsoft's SRS and TAC-41 are spring-powered bolt-action rifles where accuracy and consistent velocity depend on how evenly the piston compresses the air in the cylinder from shot to shot, and on how the hop-up puts spin on the BB. In this category you will find upgrade and spare parts for the two platforms – springs, pistons, piston heads, hop-up parts and bolt knobs. The rifles themselves are not in this category.
From Silverback Airsoft we have SRS/TAC-41 springs rated at 100 and 120 Newton, a TAC-41 piston, an Advanced piston head for TAC-41/SRS and a variable piston set for the TAC-41, where you can add weight to the piston and tune it to the BB weight. For gripping the bolt there are bolt knobs in the Vauban version in black, FDE and Wolf Grey, as well as the Light model. Maxx Models supplies hop-up arms for SRG/SRE in 4, 4.5 and 6 mm, an SRE hop-up housing and an SRG hop-up chamber for the SRS in a right-hand version. From Maple Leaf comes The Last, a CNC-machined hop-up chamber for the SRS A1 (M1) and HTI, supplied as a complete set with bucking, O-ring and screws.
What to look for
- Model: The SRS and TAC-41 share a number of components, but not all. If the product name only says TAC-41 or only SRS, the part is intended for that model. Maple Leaf The Last is listed for the SRS A1 (M1) and HTI.
- Spring strength: The springs are rated in Newton – the higher the number, the stronger the spring and the higher the velocity. Always measure with a chronograph after a change so you stay below the site limit in m/s or joules.
- Piston and piston head: The piston head seals against the cylinder. If velocity varies from shot to shot, a worn piston head is an obvious suspect. With the variable piston set for the TAC-41 you can adjust the piston weight to get energy as consistent as possible.
- Hop-up arm and chamber: The MAXX arms come in three sizes, and the choice depends on your hop-up bucking and setup. The MAXX SRE hop-up housing is the housing for MAXX's own SRS chamber, and the SRG chamber is available here in a right-hand version – check that it fits your rifle.
