About Golden Eagle 870 Shotgun
The Golden Eagle 870 is a gas-powered airsoft shotgun in a modern configuration, built on the well-known 870 pump-action form factor. The stock is prepared for a sling, and the pump has M-LOK slots, so you can mount a light or laser exactly where you need it. That makes the replica well suited as a backup gun for CQB, where quick access to secondary equipment and a compact package can decide an engagement.
Many players look for a secondary that feels different from their primary AEG but is still reliable and quick to operate under pressure. A pump-action shotgun does that job in a way a pistol cannot match at close range – it gives several BBs per cycle and a physical pump action that fits naturally into CQB scenarios, where the distance to your opponent is short and reaction time is everything.
A practical layout for fast action in tight spaces
The shotgun combines a well-thought-out shell system with solid mounting options for sights – see the five points below.
- Six 30-BB shells: Six shells are included, each holding 30 BBs, giving 10 shots per shell when firing 3 BBs at a time, or 5 shots when firing 6 BBs at a time. This gives you the flexibility to adapt your playing style from a controlled, tight spread to wider coverage with each pump.
- Shell holder on Picatinny rail: The spare shells not in the gun can be stored directly in the shell holder, mounted on a Picatinny-compatible rail. This keeps extra ammunition within reach without digging through pockets or your vest during a game.
- Picatinny for a red dot: The rail accepts any red dot sight with a Picatinny mount, so you can set up your sight line to suit your own playing style instead of being locked to factory iron sights.
- M-LOK on the pump: The front of the pump has M-LOK slots for a light or laser. This gives a modular setup similar to many real tactical shotguns and means you choose which equipment makes sense for your setup.
- Sling-ready: The stock has a sling attachment, so the shotgun can be carried securely and stay quickly accessible when used as a backup to your primary during a round.
Maintenance and safety
As the shotgun is gas powered, it should be stored upright or horizontally without constant pressure on the valve, and the gas should be released for longer storage to protect the O-rings. Always check that the shells are empty before handling the shotgun off the field, and always wear suitable eye protection. Do not store gas shells in direct sunlight or heat, as this can affect pressure and durability.
