Pentagon Ranger Shirt, Coyote

The Pentagon Ranger Shirt in Coyote is a combat shirt (art. K02013) designed to be worn under a vest or plate carrier. The upper body and sleeves are rip-stop in 65% polyester and 35% cotton, while the lower torso is a soft stretch fabric of 92% polyester and 8% elastane. The shirt closes with a YKK zip at the neck and is available here in sizes M to XXL.

The construction is typical of combat shirts: where the vest sits, the fabric is thin, elastic and breathable, so you do not end up with a thick layer of fabric and trapped heat under the vest. The sleeves and shoulders, which are exposed and take wear from the ground and branches, are in the tougher rip-stop. Coyote is a neutral sand-brown colour that works with tan, coyote and Multicam kit. The shirt is well suited to airsoft, the range and the outdoors, where you move a lot and want sleeve pockets within reach.

What you get with the Ranger Shirt:

• Rip-stop with mechanical stretch: The rip-stop weave stops small tears from spreading, and 2-way mechanical stretch in the weave gives freedom of movement at the shoulders and elbows when you are prone or aiming.
• Stretch fabric under the vest: The polyester/elastane panel sits close to the body and wicks moisture away, so you are not wearing wet cotton under your vest all day.
• DuPont Teflon treatment: The fabric is treated so dirt and stains find it harder to stick – useful when you are lying in mud and grass.
• Sleeve pockets and reinforced elbows: Cargo pockets on the sleeves and a pen pocket give access to small items even when your chest is covered by a vest, and the elbow reinforcement takes wear from the ground.
• Well-thought-out details: Ventilating gussets under the arms, flatlock seams that do not chafe, quick-drying and odour-resistant fabric, and an earpiece cable pass-through on the sleeve.

Maintenance and safety

• Wash at max 30 °C on a normal programme, and close the zip and pockets before washing so they do not damage the fabric.
• Use a detergent without bleach, and avoid stain removers with solvents – they can damage both the colour and the Teflon treatment.
• Do not iron or dry clean the shirt.
• Let it air dry – the fabric dries quickly, and you protect both the stretch and the surface treatment.
