Maple Leaf MLC-338 Deluxe Sniper, Dark Earth

The Maple Leaf MLC-338 Deluxe is a spring-powered bolt-action sniper rifle built on the VSR-10 platform, but with Maple Leaf's own fibre-reinforced polymer stock and an internal system built up from the factory with Maple Leaf upgrade parts. It is made for players who want an upgraded sniper rifle from day one instead of rebuilding a standard VSR.

The stock is considerably more torsionally rigid than the plastic stocks fitted to most VSR-10 models. That matters for accuracy, because the barrel and hop-up unit do not shift when you shoulder the rifle or rest it on a support. The rifle uses VSR magazines, and because it is built to the VSR standard, the wide range of VSR upgrade parts fits. This Dark Earth version is set up to approx. 170 m/s with 0.20 g BBs, and at that energy heavy BBs from 0.36 g upwards are the right choice, for example Hank Tactical BIO 0.36 g.

VSR sniper built with Maple Leaf parts

What you get in the Maple Leaf MLC-338 Deluxe:

• CNC Zero Trigger: A 90-degree trigger unit CNC-machined from aluminium and steel. It replaces the standard trigger and gives a short, crisp break, making it easier to fire without moving the rifle.
• Zero resistance cylinder set: The cylinder set is Maple Leaf's zero resistance version with low friction in the bolt travel, and the cylinder block is also from Maple Leaf.
• Maple Leaf barrel and hop-up: 428 mm inner barrel, Maple Leaf hop-up chamber and hop-up bucking, plus a heavy aluminium outer barrel.
• CNC receiver and steel bolt handle: The receiver is a Maple Leaf CNC full-body receiver for the VSR-10, and the enlarged steel bolt handle gives a secure grip, even with gloves.
• Scope rail with spirit level: The CNC-machined rail has a built-in spirit level, so you can see whether the rifle is canted – a small cant shifts the point of impact sideways at long range.

Maintenance and safety

• The bolt can be removed without stripping the rifle, so spring changes and servicing are quick. Store the rifle uncocked, and avoid firing it without a BB, as this stresses the piston and cylinder head.
• Clean the inner barrel with a cleaning rod, and readjust the hop-up to the BB weight when you change BBs.
• Check the site's rules for sniper energy and minimum engagement distance – a sniper rifle at this level typically has a minimum distance to opponents.
• Scope and bipod are not included. Always wear approved protection; airsoft guns can be test-fired at our shop in Aulum, Denmark.
