About Krytac FN P90
The Krytac FN P90 is an officially licensed AEG version of FN Herstal's iconic bullpup submachine gun, built at 1:1 scale with an aerospace aluminium upper and a tough, reinforced polymer body. The compact, integrated construction makes it well suited to CQB, where short distances and fast handling matter more than range.
The P90 stands out with two different select-fire modes: Semi works as on any other AEG, but in Auto mode a half trigger pull fires only one shot, while a full pull gives sustained full-auto fire. Under the shell sits Krytac's own V6 gearbox, developed from the well-regarded Nautilus platform, with MOSFET and a numbered rotary hop-up for precise adjustment.
Five things worth knowing about the Krytac FN P90
These are the key features, and why they matter in practice:
- 116–122 m/s muzzle velocity (0.20 g BBs): Up to 1.49 J and a rate of fire of 20+ rounds per second on 11.1V – plenty of power and pace for the CQB tempo the P90 is designed for.
- Advanced select-fire: The half-pull function in Auto mode gives controlled single shots, while a full pull releases full-auto fire – flexibility few AEGs offer.
- Krytac V6 gearbox: A Nautilus-based gearbox with MOSFET control and a numbered rotary hop-up makes adjustments quick, even with gloves on, and makes the platform a solid starting point for later upgrades.
- Ambidextrous controls: Selector, magazine release and charging handle are placed centrally or duplicated on both sides, so the gun is equally easy to operate with either hand.
- 200-round magazine: The high-capacity magazine means fewer reloads during intense engagements.
Maintenance and safety
- Only use 11.1V LiPo batteries as recommended by the manufacturer, and avoid pulling the trigger with no BBs in the barrel (dry firing).
- Keep the hop-up unit and barrel clean to maintain accuracy over time – the hatch behind the charging handle gives easy access.
- Always check the gearbox fuse status if it functions irregularly, before you take the gun apart yourself.
- Store the gun out of reach of children and in line with the airsoft regulations in your country.
