About Hatsan Striker 1000X, .177 (4.5 mm)

The Hatsan Striker 1000X is a spring-powered break-barrel air rifle in .177 (4.5 mm) with a wooden stock. You cock the rifle by breaking the barrel, load one diabolo pellet and close it again. With up to 305 m/s, an overall length of 1095 mm and a weight of approx. 2900 g, it is a full-size rifle for target shooting in the garden and at the range.

The break-barrel rifle is the classic entry point to air guns: no air cylinder, no pump and no filling – just you and the rifle. The Striker 1000X is Hatsan's simple model in this category, but it has the details that matter for accuracy: a rifled steel barrel, an adjustable trigger and a stock shaped for both right- and left-handed shooters. If you would prefer a synthetic stock, the same rifle is available as the Striker 1000S.

Classic break-barrel rifle with wooden stock

What you get with the Striker 1000X:

  • Ambidextrous wooden stock: The stock has a Monte Carlo cheek piece on both sides, so both right- and left-handed shooters get a firm cheek weld. Chequering on grip and forend gives a secure hold.
  • 420 mm rifled steel barrel: The rifling spins the pellet, which stabilises it in flight. The large muzzle brake gives a better grip when breaking the barrel and makes cocking easier.
  • Adjustable trigger: Trigger weight and travel can be adjusted, so the trigger suits your shooting style. A consistent trigger is one of the most important factors for consistent hits on the target.
  • Truglo fibre optics: The rear sight is micro-adjustable for elevation and windage, and the foresight sits in a hood that protects the fibre. The red foresight (1.5 mm) and green rear sight (0.9 mm) are quick to align.
  • 11 mm rail with scope stop: The cylinder is grooved for 11 mm mounts and has a fitted scope stop that prevents a riflescope from creeping backwards under the recoil of the spring system.

Maintenance and safety

  • Never fire without a pellet in the barrel. Dry-firing puts unnecessary strain on spring, piston and seals and can shorten service life.
  • The rifle has a manual safety, an automatic safety on cocking and an anti-bear-trap safety. Keep hold of the barrel while loading.
  • Choose a riflescope rated for spring guns, as the recoil goes both forwards and backwards and can damage ordinary scopes.
  • Treat the wooden stock with stock oil as needed, and keep the metal parts lightly oiled. Check the air gun regulations in your country before purchase. Wear eye protection, and store the rifle unloaded and out of reach of children.
