About Gearbox Ver. III with 8 mm Bearings
V3 gearbox shell from Ultimate with 8 mm bearings fitted. V3 is the gearbox type used in the AK platform among others, and a new shell is the answer if your old gearbox is cracked or worn, or if you are building a new gearbox from the ground up.
What you need to know about the gearbox shell
- Shell with bearings: You get the gearbox shell with the 8 mm bearings fitted, plus tappet plate and screws. Gears, piston, cylinder, spring, trigger parts and motor are not included and must be moved over from your old gearbox or bought separately.
- Version 3: Fits AEGs with a V3 gearbox. See the compatibility list for examples of guns in our shop.
- 8 mm bearings: The most common bearing size in AEGs. Bearings give lower friction than bushings.
Fitting
Building up a gearbox in a new shell takes experience in stripping an AEG and shimming the gears. Our workshop in Aulum, Denmark is happy to help with rebuilds and shimming.
