Benchmade 940-2 Osborne is a modern take on a classic folding knife. This version keeps Warren Osborne's iconic profile and the distinctive reverse tanto blade but updates the materials for the demanding user. With a black G10 handle and striking lime green barrel spacers, you get a knife that feels very robust and looks great.

What sets the 940-2 apart from the original model?

• G10 handle: The handle is machined from black G10 – a glass-fibre laminate that is very hard-wearing, temperature-resistant and gives a great grip, even in wet conditions.

• Open design: Unlike the closed back of the aluminium model, the 940-2 has an open design with lime green anodised barrel spacers. That makes the knife easier to clean and gives it a raw, technical look.

• Light weight and balance: At only 75 g, it is easy to carry as EDC (everyday carry) yet still feels like a serious tool in the hand.

Reverse tanto & premium steel

• Reverse tanto blade: The characteristic blade shape gives a very strong tip that suits both precision work and tougher tasks without worrying about damaging the blade.

• CPM-S30V steel: The blade is made from the well-regarded S30V steel (HRC 58-60). It offers a good balance between long edge retention and corrosion resistance.

Proven mechanics

• AXIS® Lock: Benchmade's patented locking mechanism. It is very quick to operate, very strong and works reliably for both right- and left-handed users.

• Reversible clip: Fitted with a standard carry clip that can be mounted on either side of the knife.
