Benchmade 15085-2: Mini Crooked River

Looking for a hunting and outdoor folding knife that combines classic, nostalgic looks with modern, high-tech performance? The Benchmade 15085-2 Mini Crooked River is part of the HUNT series and breaks with the norms of how a modern hunting knife should look. This is the more compact, pocket-friendly version of the popular Crooked River, and it delivers a strength that makes it fully ready for the field.

Classic wood handle paired with aerospace aluminium

The Mini Crooked River looks the part without compromising on durability:

• Stabilised Dymondwood®: The handle scales are made of stabilised Dymondwood®. The wood is saturated with special resin under high pressure, which keeps the warmth and classic glow of the wood but gives it the impermeable resistance of a polymer against water, blood and moisture.

• Tough aluminium bolsters: The wood is complemented by ergonomic bolsters in grey anodised aerospace aluminium, which give the knife good balance and structural strength.

• Modern custom details: The traditional look is offset by a distinctive orange backspacer and a matching orange anodised ring around the blade pivot.

Clip-point blade in CPM-S30V steel

The blade is designed for cutting performance and precision in the forest:

• Excellent edge retention (58-60 HRC): The 86.4 mm blade is made of the well-regarded CPM-S30V stainless steel. It is known for its balance between durability, high corrosion resistance and an edge that stays sharp through long use.

• Classic clip-point profile: The blade shape gives a sharp, controllable point that is ideal for precision work, while the fine belly makes it very good for skinning and general outdoor tasks.

AXIS® Lock – strong like a fixed blade

Thanks to Benchmade's patented AXIS® Lock, you do not need to worry about a folding knife being too weak for hunting. The steel bar across the frame locks the blade solidly in the open position, giving the feel and security of a fixed blade. The lock is quick to operate with one hand and is fully Ambidextrous, so it works well whether you are right- or left-handed. The knife has a discreet Split Arrow pocket clip.

The knife is Made in USA and made for the hunter or gear collector who wants an attractive and reliable tool in their pocket.
