About ASG Hybrid H4 Torrent MKII AEG, Polymer/Metal, Value Pack
The ASG Hybrid Series H4 Torrent MK II is a compact M4-style AEG with a polymer receiver and metal handguard, supplied as a complete Value Pack. Length is 650–740 mm depending on stock position, the inner barrel is 235 mm, and it weighs 2300 g – 200 g lighter than the full metal version, but with the same electronics inside.
The MK II is the middle step in the Torrent series and the obvious choice if you want ECU and MOSFET without carrying a full metal body for a whole game day. The metal handguard adds rigidity where optics and accessories sit, while the polymer receiver keeps the weight down. With battery, charger, 300-round metal magazine and 1000 BBs in the box, the rifle is ready for the field from day one.
What you get with the H4 Torrent MK II
Five technical points that set the MK II apart from a standard beginner AEG:
- Polymer/metal construction: An impact-resistant polymer receiver combined with a metal handguard gives a rigid front end for optics and grip, while total weight stays at 2300 g – a good balance for long game days.
- ECU and MOSFET: The electronic control unit manages each gearbox cycle and gives a sharp trigger response. The MOSFET protects the trigger contacts, which would otherwise carry the full current in an AEG without a MOSFET.
- Quick-change spring: An M95 is fitted (95 m/s), and an M120 is included. The spring is changed without taking the gearbox apart, so the rifle can quickly be adapted to different sites' limits.
- Full metal teeth piston and T-plug: The metal-toothed piston copes with high rate of fire and stiffer springs, and the T-plug (Deans) carries current with less resistance than a Tamiya connector.
- Rotary hop-up and top rail: The rotary wheel on the hop-up gives fine adjustment that doesn't shift during movement, and the continuous top rail is ready for a red dot or riflescope.
Maintenance and safety
- Use the included 9.6 V NiMH or max. 9.9 V LiFe with the M95 spring. 11.1 V LiPo should only be used once the M120 spring is fitted – our workshop in Aulum, Denmark can handle the swap.
- Shoot good Seamless BBs (we recommend Hank Tactical BIO 0.28 g) and clean the barrel with the included rod if accuracy drops.
- Put the rifle on Safe, remove the battery and take out the magazine after play and during transport.
- Always wear approved eye protection, and follow the site's velocity and distance rules.
