About ASG Hybrid H4 Torrent MKI AEG, Polymer, Value Pack
The ASG Hybrid Series H4 Torrent MK I is a light, compact M4-style AEG with a reinforced polymer body, supplied as a complete Value Pack. It measures 650–740 mm depending on stock position, has a 235 mm inner barrel and weighs 2100 g, making it easy to handle in CQB and comfortable to carry through a long game day.
The MK I is the entry point to the Torrent series and shares its gearbox, spring system and piston with the more expensive versions – the difference lies in the body material and the fact that the MK I has no ECU or MOSFET. That makes it a solid first choice for the new player who wants a rifle with real upgrade potential, with battery, charger, 300-round metal magazine and 1000 BBs included in the box.
What you get with the H4 Torrent MK I
Five technical points that make the MK I more than a standard beginner AEG:
- Full polymer construction: High-density, impact-resistant polymer keeps the weight at 2100 g – 400 g less than the full metal version – and polymer withstands knocks and cold without denting like thin metal.
- Quick-change spring: Supplied with an M95 fitted (95 m/s) and an extra M120. The spring is changed without opening the gearbox, so the rifle can be adapted to both indoor and outdoor sites.
- Full metal teeth piston: A piston with metal teeth instead of plastic teeth gives a longer mechanical life – especially relevant if you later switch to the M120 and LiPo.
- T-plug (Deans): Lower contact resistance than the older Tamiya connector means more of the battery's current reaches the motor and you get more out of each charge.
- Rotary hop-up and top rail: The hop-up is finely adjusted with a rotary wheel, and the continuous top rail leaves room for a red dot, riflescope or light.
Maintenance and safety
- With the M95 spring, use the included 9.6 V NiMH or max. 9.9 V LiFe. 11.1 V LiPo requires the M120 spring to be fitted – we can help with the swap in our workshop in Aulum, Denmark.
- The MK I has no MOSFET, so avoid higher voltage than recommended to protect the trigger contacts.
- Use good Seamless BBs (we recommend Hank Tactical BIO 0.28 g) and clean the barrel with the included rod if accuracy drops.
- Store the rifle on Safe without battery and magazine, and always wear approved eye protection on the field.
