About Artemis PP800R PCP Air Pistol, 4.5 mm
The Artemis PP800R is a regulated PCP air pistol in 4.5 mm with a 9-shot magazine and a wooden grip. It is built for target shooting and practice, when you want a pistol with a magazine and a regulator without stepping up to a PCP rifle. At around 1000 g and approx. 520 mm long including the moderator, it is easy to take to the range.
The PP800R is an updated, regulated version of Artemis' PP800 series. The regulator keeps the shot pressure consistent through the fill, so velocity stays steady at around 240 m/s instead of dropping as the cylinder empties. The air cylinder is filled to a maximum of 200 bar – slightly lower than many PCP rifles, which makes it easier to fill with a hand pump.
Regulated PCP pistol with magazine
Key features:
- Built-in regulator: A fixed working pressure gives more consistent shots than an unregulated PCP pistol, where the first and last shots of a fill land differently.
- 9-shot magazine: The magazine indexes a new pellet each time you cycle, so you can shoot a string without loading pellets into the barrel by hand.
- Wooden grip with finger grooves: The wooden grip has finger grooves so the pistol sits securely in the hand without adding much weight.
- Rifled barrel and moderator: The rifled barrel stabilises the pellet, and the moderator at the front takes the edge off the muzzle report.
- Adjustable trigger and 11 mm rail: The trigger can be set between approx. 230 and 1800 g, and the 11 mm rail takes a red dot or a compact riflescope. The pistol has a manual safety and open sights.
Maintenance and safety
- Only fill with clean, dry air from a hand pump, compressor or air tank – never above 200 bar.
- A fill probe with quick coupling is included, but a hand pump or compressor must be bought separately.
- Store the pistol unloaded, with the magazine removed and the safety on, and clean the barrel regularly with felt cleaning pellets.
- Check the air gun regulations in your country before purchase and use. Wear shooting glasses and use a safe pellet trap.
