About Artemis PP700S-A PCP Air Pistol, 4.5 mm

The Artemis PP700S-A is a compact, regulated single-shot PCP air pistol in 4.5 mm. It is built for target shooting at short distances and is a simple way into PCP: few parts, no magazines to keep track of and the size of an ordinary pistol. The model is made by Snowpeak, so it may come in a box with either the Artemis or the Snowpeak logo.

You cock the hammer, swing the loading gate to the side and place the pellet directly in the barrel. It takes a moment longer than a magazine, but gives you full control over every pellet – an advantage when training for precision. The 72 cc air cylinder is filled to a maximum of 250 bar, and the regulator keeps the shot pressure consistent. That gives approximately 40 shots per fill.

Artemis PP700S-A – key features

The key properties:

  • Built-in regulator: The regulator provides a fixed working pressure, so velocity does not drop with the cylinder pressure – more consistent shots than from an unregulated PCP pistol.
  • Single shot with loading gate: The air channel is in the loading gate, so no air can reach the pellet while the gate is open. The system is simple and easy to understand.
  • Adjustable two-stage trigger: The trigger is two-stage from the factory, but the first stage can be adjusted out entirely. Trigger weight can be set between approx. 450 and 2250 g.
  • Fixed sights and dovetail rail: Foresight and U-notch rear sight are factory-fitted, and the rear sight adjusts for windage. On top there is a dovetail rail for a red dot or a compact riflescope.
  • Compact format: At approx. 370 mm long and around 900 g, the pistol is easy to carry in a pistol case. The grip is synthetic; the rest is metal.

Maintenance and safety

  • Only fill with clean, dry air from a hand pump, compressor or air tank – never above 250 bar.
  • The pistol is filled via an adapter with a Foster quick coupling; a hand pump or compressor must be bought separately.
  • Store the pistol unloaded with the loading gate open, and clean the barrel regularly with felt cleaning pellets.
  • Check the air pistol regulations in your country before purchase. Wear eye protection and use a safe pellet trap.
