Scherell's Schaftol
Schaftol is a highly regarded wood treatment and protection product developed by the prominent hunting and sporting gun company Scherell & Co. The company was founded in 1834 by Oswald Scherell, a leading Prussian gunsmith in the 1920s, who personally invented Schaftol stock oil. The Scherell Schaftol brand became part of the Ballistol product range in 2006, but maintains its production in Germany, where it is still manufactured according to the original recipe.
