About the kit

The HPA kit converts your M4 from an electric gearbox to HPA. You get a drop-in HPA engine for the V2 gearbox, a regulator with line and a 0.8 L air tank – everything you need to get started. The result is a crisp trigger, no gears to wear and power and rate of fire that can be adjusted digitally.

Choose between our go-to engine, the SparkLabs Wolf, and the more affordable Storm HP-R. With a new gearbox shell, the HPA engine goes into a new V2 shell, so your original gearbox stays complete and can be refitted. You can fit the kit yourself, or let our workshop assemble and test it. When we fit it, we chronograph the velocity and record m/s and BB weight, so the gun stays within the site's limits.

Drop-in HPA with adjustable power and rate of fire

  • SparkLabs Wolf V2 or Storm HP-R: The Wolf has an electromagnetically driven nozzle, open or closed bolt and a self-calibrating FCU. The Storm HP-R has a digital FCU with display and an adjustable nozzle, and fits a standard V2 with rear-wired harness.
  • Hank Tactical regulator with 40" line: A compact regulator that brings the pressure from the tank down to a level the HPA engine can work with. The line gives room to carry the tank on your body.
  • BalystiK 0.8 L air tank: An aluminium tank with a reinforced steel base and a volume of 0.8 L (48 ci).
  • Battery for the engine: The Wolf runs on a Hank Tactical 7.4 V LiPo with JST connector. The Storm HP-R requires an 11.1 V LiPo with Deans connector. The right battery is included in the kit.
  • New gearbox shell (optional): Keeps your original gearbox complete, so you can go back to AEG if you want.

Maintenance and safety

  • Always close the tank and depressurise the system before disconnecting the line, regulator or replica
  • Air tanks must be filled and pressure-tested in accordance with the regulations that apply to you – never fill above the tank's approved pressure
  • Power and rate of fire are set in the FCU and with the regulator. Always measure velocity with a chronograph, and stay within the site's limits
  • Keep O-rings and fittings clean, and check the line for wear and kinks regularly
  • Always wear approved eye protection during play and testing
