Hi-Capa Upgrades
The Hi-Capa is one of the most widespread GBB pistol platforms in airsoft, which is why there is a large market for upgrade parts for it. Here we have collected parts for tuning the Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa and the many clones built on the same design: hop-up buckings and hop-up chambers, inner barrels, triggers, hammers, charging handles, recoil springs, guide rods, magazine bases, thumb rests and red dot mounts. Whether you want the pistol to shoot more consistently, cycle more smoothly or simply look more personal, this is where you start.
The largest part of the range comes from CowCow Technology and AIP, who both make CNC-machined parts in aluminium and steel – triggers, hammers, guide rods and magazine bases in several colours. Dynamic Precision covers the functional upgrades for the TM Hi-Capa such as charging handles, recoil springs, a steel hammer and a nozzle valve, while Maple Leaf supplies hop-up buckings in hardnesses from 50 to 80 degrees as well as 113 mm inner barrels. You will also find parts from Armorer Works, Waldo Customs, Unicorn, PDI and Laylax (Nine Ball), among others – all the way up to a CNC frame for the Hi-Capa 4.3.
What to look for
- Model and manufacturer: Many parts are made for the Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa and do not necessarily fit every clone. Read the product name carefully – some parts are marked, for example, as not fitting TM and WE.
- 4.3 or 5.1: The slide length differs between the two sizes, so guide rods, recoil springs, barrels and frames must match the version you have.
- Hop-up bucking hardness: The degree rating indicates how hard the bucking is. A softer bucking forms more easily, while a harder one holds its shape better at higher power – choose according to your setup and the gas you use.
- Function before looks: Start with the parts that affect the shot and the cycle – hop-up, inner barrel and nozzle valve – before you move on to coloured triggers and magazine bases.
- Material and fitting: Parts in CNC aluminium and steel are typically more hard-wearing than the stock parts, but may need a little fitting.
