Helikon-Tex started back in 1983 as a surplus warehouse, but over the following decade the business developed and they became more "grown up". In the late 90s in Poland there was a bigger and bigger mismatch between the current gear and clothing within the Polish military and the new challenges that awaited modern soldiers! Therefore, Grzegorz Mieszczak, owner of Helikon-Tex, set about developing up to date military clothing and gear!
In 1999, the military milestone was reached when Helikon-Tex became a manufacturer and a brand in its own right. Since then, massive investments have been made to keep the development going with its own R&D department and official supplier to the Polish military.
Today, Helikon-Tex gear and clothing are developed in close collaboration with military units, experienced shooters and skilled bushcrafters around the world.
