About G&G G980 Gas
G&G G980 Gas is an authentic replica of the famous rifle that served as the standard rifle of the German Wehrmacht during the Second World War. This airsoft version from G&G is built with great respect for the original, making it an obvious choice for serious collectors, history enthusiasts and re-enactors.
Authentic materials and solid craftsmanship
G&G has not cut corners on the details needed to capture the feel of a historical rifle. The G980 has a handsome stock in real wood, and key parts such as the bolt and sights are made from solid metal.
-
Historical look: The rifle comes with a genuine leather sling, which completes the authentic look and makes it easy to carry in the field.
-
Comfort: The butt is fitted with a rubber pad that gives good stability when you shoulder the rifle.
Bolt-action experience
The G980 uses a classic single-shot bolt-action system that requires you to cycle the bolt manually between each shot. This gives a slow but very satisfying shooting experience where you really feel the mechanics behind every trigger pull.
-
Gas system: The rifle runs on gas, which makes cycling the bolt lighter and more realistic than on spring-powered models.
-
Sights: It has open sights with an adjustable rear sight, so you can aim accurately at different distances.
-
Adjustable hop-up: The hop-up can be adjusted so you can match the BB's trajectory to the BB weight you use.
Collector's value
The G980 is a non-blowback rifle designed with a focus on looks and historical accuracy. It feels just as robust and mechanical as you would expect from a rifle of that period.
