About Cyma M4A1 RIS 14.5" GBBR
The Cyma M4A1 RIS 14.5" GBBR is a gas blowback replica of the M4A1 carbine with a 14.5" outer barrel, RIS handguard and a collapsible stock. The overall length is 800 mm, and the rifle is a classic, versatile M4 that works both in woodland and in buildings – with the realistic recoil and handling that make a GBBR something special.
The rifle is part of Cyma's CGS series (Cyma Gas System), which is based on Tokyo Marui's MWS system and is therefore compatible with many MWS parts. It fires semi and full auto at approx. 1 J, equivalent to around 100 m/s with 0.20 g BBs according to the supplier, and uses 30-round gas magazines. The inner barrel is 360 mm, and the muzzle thread is 14 mm CCW.
Classic M4A1 with gas blowback
The M4A1 in CGS form gives you realistic operation in a proven form factor.
- Gas blowback: The bolt cycles on every shot and locks back when the magazine is empty, so handling mirrors the original and gives noticeable recoil.
- CGS based on MWS: The system is based on Tokyo Marui's MWS, so many upgrade parts and magazines for the MWS platform fit.
- RIS handguard: The quad-rail handguard gives Picatinny rails all the way round, so accessories can be mounted where you need them.
- 14.5" outer barrel and 360 mm inner barrel: The full M4A1 length gives a stable trajectory and a classic look – a good compromise between reach and manoeuvrability.
- Semi and full auto: The rifle fires both semi and full auto, and the hop-up is adjustable.
Maintenance and safety
Store the magazine with a little gas in it so the seals stay tight, and give valves and seals a drop of silicone oil at regular intervals. Gas loses pressure in the cold, so expect lower performance and slower cycling in winter – keep magazines warm between shots. Clean the barrel when accuracy drops, store the replica locked away and out of reach of children, and always wear approved eye protection. Check the rules on buying and owning airsoft replicas in your country.
