About Cyma DD M4A1 RIII 12.5" GBBR
The Cyma DD M4A1 RIII 12.5" GBBR is a gas blowback replica of the M4A1 with a 12.5" RIS III-style M-LOK handguard and a continuous Picatinny top rail. With an overall length of 800 mm, it is a modern, versatile rifle that works in both woodland and buildings.
The rifle is part of Cyma's CGS series (Cyma Gas System), which is based on Tokyo Marui's MWS system and is therefore compatible with many MWS parts. It fires semi and full auto at approx. 1 J, equivalent to around 100 m/s with 0.20 g BBs according to the supplier, and uses 30-round gas magazines. The muzzle thread is 14 mm CCW.
Modern M4A1 with M-LOK and gas blowback
The RIII version combines a modern handguard with the CGS system's realistic operation.
- Gas blowback: The bolt cycles on every shot and locks back when the magazine is empty – giving recoil and handling like the original.
- CGS based on MWS: The system is based on Tokyo Marui's MWS, so many upgrade parts and magazines for the MWS platform fit.
- 12.5" M-LOK handguard: M-LOK keeps the handguard slim and easy to grip, and accessories are mounted only where you need them – unlike a RIS with rails all the way round.
- Continuous top rail: The Picatinny rail runs from receiver to handguard, giving you free choice of position for an optic and magnifier.
- Semi and full auto: The rifle fires both semi and full auto, and the hop-up is adjustable.
Maintenance and safety
Store the magazine with a little gas in it so the seals stay tight, and give valves and seals a drop of silicone oil at regular intervals. Gas loses pressure in the cold, so expect lower performance and slower cycling in winter – keep magazines warm between shots. Clean the barrel when accuracy drops, store the replica locked away and out of reach of children, and always wear approved eye protection. Check the rules on buying and owning airsoft replicas in your country.
