About BO WW2 KAR 98K GBB
This KAR 98K replica is built on the classic WW2 rifle that was the standard weapon of German infantry during the Second World War. With a wooden stock, steel trigger group and metal barrel and bolt, the replica has an authentic heft and finish that make it a natural choice for reenactment, historical displays or as a striking addition to any collection.
Where many airsoft replicas of historical guns settle for lightweight materials and simplified mechanics, this KAR 98K stands apart by combining real function with convincing materials. The shell-ejecting system gives an experience closer to how the original works than most spring-powered alternatives – something particularly valued by reenactors and collectors who put detail and authenticity ahead of pure game function.
Authentic construction with attention to detail – materials and mechanics are designed to give an experience close to the original, not just visually but also in handling.
- Wooden stock: Gives the rifle the weight distribution and surface that characterised original military rifles – a clear step up from the plastic stocks that otherwise dominate this segment.
- Metal construction: Barrel, bolt and the five included metal shells give a solid, cool feel and durability that exceeds typical ABS-based replicas.
- Shell ejection: After each shot the shell is ejected from the chamber, just like the original – a mechanical detail that brings the reloading ritual close to the real thing.
- Manual bolt-action operation: Requires manual cocking between every shot, giving a slower, more deliberate and historically correct shooting experience than semi-automatic replicas.
- Gas-powered system, 1.5 J: Delivers a calm, controlled shot that suits demonstrations and close-range scenarios, where accuracy and experience matter more than range.
Maintenance and safety
After use, release the pressure in the gas system and store the rifle dry to avoid condensation in the metal parts. Treat the wooden stock as real wood – avoid direct sun and moisture over long periods, and oil it occasionally to preserve the surface. Wipe the metal shells clean of residue after use, and keep the barrel free of dirt between sessions. As with all airsoft guns, always respect the applicable age limits and safety equipment, including eye protection.
