About Torpedo Revolver, .50 Cal
The Mercury Rise Torpedo in .50 calibre is a modern CO₂-powered revolver that impresses with its solid construction, reliable mechanics and very simple operation. With an energy output of 15 J, this revolver strikes a good balance between impact and controllable accuracy, making it well suited to tactical training, target shooting and action-oriented hobby scenarios.
Torpedo vs. Umarex TR50: bigger, longer and more stable
Compared with the well-known Umarex T4E TR50 revolver, the Mercury Rise Torpedo differs on some important points:
-
Extended design and longer sight radius: The Torpedo is physically bigger and longer than the TR50. The extra length gives you a noticeably longer sight radius, which results in calmer, steadier and more stable aiming.
-
Substantial presence: Where the TR50 is very compact and designed for manoeuvrability at close range, the Torpedo scores on its physical size and a more substantial feel in the hand.
3-in-1 Quick Piercing System
The revolver's CO₂ system has the 3-in-1 Quick Piercing function, which makes handling and storage easier:
-
Always full pressure: You can fit a standard CO2 capsule in the grip and keep the revolver ready in your gear bag or holster. The capsule is not pierced straight away, which prevents pressure loss during long-term storage.
-
Ready instantly: When you need the revolver, you simply activate the capsule with a light press or tap on the base, after which the system is fully pressurised and you are ready to shoot. It also improves safety during transport.
Ergonomics and quick cylinder reloading
The Mercury Rise Torpedo is optimised for controlled handling. The ergonomic grip gives a comfortable, firm hold, while the intuitive controls make it very easy to operate. The revolver's cylinder system gives smooth, fluid cycling and allows quick reloading of the large .50 calibre projectiles (e.g. rubber balls or chalk balls), so you are soon ready for the next string. The whole housing is robustly built and dimensioned for long-term, hard use in the field.
