Nimrod Extreme Performance Black Gas

Nimrod Extreme Performance Black Gas is the most powerful gas in the Nimrod range, with a pressure of 14 bar at 20 °C. It is made for gas guns with a metal slide and metal parts that need to deliver full performance – even in winter weather. The can holds 500 ml.

As the temperature approaches freezing, the pressure in ordinary gas drops so much that many gas pistols shoot weakly or fail to cycle properly. Black gas starts from a considerably higher pressure and compensates for the drop – but in return it puts the most strain on the gun of all the gas types.

Maximum power for metal guns and cold days

Black gas is the final step up – for guns built for it, and for days when green and red gas are not enough.

• 14 bar at 20 °C: 40 % more pressure than green gas (10 bar) and the highest pressure in the Nimrod range.
• For winter use: The high starting pressure keeps the gun running when the cold makes ordinary gas give up.
• Metal slides only: Plastic slides cannot withstand the pressure. Use Nimrod Green Gas in pistols with a plastic slide.
• No warranty when black gas is used: Because of the strain, we do not offer a warranty on guns in which black gas has been used.
• 500 ml can: Enough for many magazine fills – how many depends on the gun and magazine.

Maintenance and safety

• Always check what pressure your gun can handle before using black gas.
• Go back to green gas when the weather warms up – it is kinder to slide and seals.
• The can is pressurised. Store it somewhere cool, away from direct sunlight and open flames, and never expose it to temperatures above 50 °C.
• Fill the magazine with the can upright and the valve pointing down, and always wear eye protection when shooting.
