Nico Smoke Grenade, Purple

The NICO Smoke grenade in purple is a category P1 pyrotechnic smoke device from German manufacturer NICO that produces dense, purple-violet coloured smoke for approx. 80 seconds. The smoke vents from a single opening, and the grenade is ignited with a pull igniter (ring and wire), so you do not need a lighter or matches. Please note: pyrotechnics cannot be shipped by carrier, so the smoke grenade must be collected from our shop in Aulum, Denmark – choose "Pick up in store" when ordering.

Smoke grenades are used in airsoft and paintball to hide movement, mark an area or give a signal to your own team, and they are also used for training and simulation exercises as well as photo and video. Coloured smoke is easier to recognise as an agreed signal than ordinary white smoke, so a team can give each colour its own meaning. With around 80 seconds of burn time, you have time to move a whole team across an open area.

What sets NICO Smoke apart:

• Approx. 80 seconds burn time: The long burn time gives a smoke screen that lasts while the team moves, rather than a short puff that blows away straight away.
• Pull igniter with ring and wire: Pull the ring and throw – a controlled ignition that needs no lighter or open flame.
• Single-vent smoke output: The smoke comes out of one end, so it stays dense and concentrated instead of spreading in several directions.
• Category P1: The device is classified as P1 pyrotechnics for technical use such as airsoft, paintball, training and signalling – it is not consumer fireworks.
• Collection only: Because of the rules on transporting pyrotechnics, the smoke grenade is not shipped – it is collected in store.

Maintenance and safety

• Always follow the site's or organiser's rules – many sites have specific rules for smoke and pyrotechnics or only allow them in certain areas, so ask before the game.
• For outdoor use only; keep a safety distance of at least 2 m – 4 m downwind. Never hold the grenade in your hand while it is burning, and do not use it near flammable material such as dry grass and leaves.
• Avoid inhaling the smoke, and wear gloves and safety glasses. Coloured smoke can stain clothing and surfaces within the safety distance.
• Category P1 pyrotechnics may only be bought and used by persons over 18 – check the regulations in your country. Store the smoke grenade dry and out of reach of children, and follow the supplied instructions.
