About Hatsan Model 25 Air Pistol
The Hatsan Model 25 is a compact spring-powered break-barrel air pistol in 4.5 mm (.177). You cock it by breaking the barrel, load a single diabolo pellet and close it again. The pistol shoots up to 150 m/s and is supplied as a set with a pellet trap, targets and a tin of diabolo pellets, so you can start target shooting straight away.
At 370 mm long and weighing approx. 1240 g, the Model 25 is easy to handle, and the moderate velocity makes it well suited to shooting at shorter distances, for example in the garden or indoors with a proper pellet trap. Because spring pistols need no filling or capsules, they are a simple way to train sight alignment, breathing and trigger control. If you later want more power, the SuperCharger version from the same series is the natural next step.
Complete starter set with spring pistol
What you get with the Model 25:
- Spring-powered break-barrel: No air cylinder, pump or capsules. The pistol is ready whenever you have pellets, and its energy is not affected by temperature or fill pressure.
- 165 mm rifled steel barrel: The barrel is rifled to stabilise the pellet and has a synthetic outer sleeve. A cocking aid is included that fits on the muzzle and makes it easier to break the barrel.
- TruGlo fibre optics: The rear sight is micro-adjustable, and the front sight sits in a protective hood. The fibres gather light, so the sight points are easy to see against a target.
- Grooved cylinder: The cylinder has mounting grooves, so you can fit a small red dot sight if you prefer it to open sights.
- Pellet trap and targets: The set includes a pellet trap to catch the pellets, paper targets and a tin of diabolo pellets – everything you need to shoot safely at home.
Maintenance and safety
- Never fire without a pellet in the barrel. Dry-firing puts unnecessary strain on the spring, piston and seals and can shorten their life.
- The pistol has a manual safety and an anti-bear-trap safety that stops the barrel from snapping shut while loading. Keep hold of the barrel while you load.
- Only shoot into the pellet trap or another safe backstop, and check that nobody is behind the target.
- Clean the barrel regularly. Check the age limits and air gun regulations in your country. Wear eye protection, and store the pistol unloaded and out of reach of children.
