About Hatsan Mod 25 SuperTact QE Air Pistol, 4.5 mm

The Hatsan Mod 25 SuperTact QE is a spring-powered break-barrel air pistol in 4.5 mm with integrated moderator and detachable telescopic stock. With the stock fitted it is a carbine of 837–937 mm; without the stock it is used as a pistol. It delivers up to 215 m/s from a 230 mm precision-rifled steel barrel.

QE stands for QuietEnergy – Hatsan's name for a fully shrouded barrel with integrated moderator, which according to Hatsan makes the shot approx. 50 % quieter than on the standard model. That makes a noticeable difference during long practice sessions, and because the moderator is built in, you don't need to buy and fit a separate one. Compared with the standard SuperTact, the QE also has a height-adjustable cheek piece on the stock and an open metal front sight, while it weighs approx. 2600 g – 100 g more than the standard version.

Hatsan Mod 25 SuperTact QE – key features

The QE version builds on the SuperTact with a focus on noise and fit:

  • Integrated moderator: The QuietEnergy system encloses the barrel and reduces muzzle report by approx. 50 % according to Hatsan. The moderator is built into the barrel, so nothing extra needs fitting to the muzzle.
  • Adjustable cheek piece: The comb of the stock can be adjusted for height with a coin, so you get your eye in line with the open sights or a mounted red dot or scope.
  • Pistol and carbine in one: The telescopic stock adjusts for length and can be removed completely, so you can switch between shoulder-fired and pure pistol.
  • Quattro two-stage trigger: Two-stage and fully adjustable. A clear stop before release makes it easier to shoot accurately than a simple single-stage trigger.
  • Fibre-optic sights + 11 mm: Truglo fibre-optic rear sight, micro-adjustable for windage and elevation, and an open metal front sight with red fibre. The cylinder is grooved for 11 mm mounts.

Maintenance and safety

  • Cock correctly: Break the barrel fully down in one smooth movement and hold the barrel while loading. The anti-beartrap safety prevents the trigger from being activated while the barrel is broken, but never let go of the barrel while loading.
  • Never dry-fire: Firing without a pellet in the barrel puts unnecessary strain on spring and piston and can damage the mechanism.
  • Cleaning: Clean the barrel with a pull-through and felt pellets as needed, and keep the breech joint and locking face free of dirt. Do not use ordinary gun oil in the compression chamber.
  • Storage: Store the pistol uncocked and unloaded, out of reach of children. Never store it cocked, as this weakens the spring.
